Curriculum
Our Concrete Play Based applications and activities ensure all 6 ELDA’s and CAPS requirements are fully explored. We aim to go above and beyond when working with our little ones to ensure their educational needs are met by working with individuals on a personal level. The core of our pedagogy is to:
1. Guide/Facilitate rather than instruct.
2. Offer a space for individual expression rather than duplication.
3. Collaborate rather than divide.
4. Document events rather than just report back.
We continually research educational trends and implement new-aged methods to further develop and grow our little seedlings into strong-rooted individuals.
We work as a small community at BabyBums Randburg whereby learners assist each other, learn from each other and lend a helping hand with daily chores i.e. assisting in the kitchen with food preparation and general cleaning up.
We use an array of programmes and teaching methods that focus on their timing and systematic introductions
to routines, sequences and games, maximising your child’s brain development in the most natural way.

Our Developmental Classes
Seedlings
Babies
Ages: 4-15 months
These are the formative years of a child’s life. Our secure baby-care facility provides a naturally stimulating environment, where babies are encouraged to move and explore through our Practica and PlayLearnGrow concepts.
Basic mobility, motor skills and cognitive development is promoted through our age appropriate curriculum.
Sprouts
Toddlers
Ages: 1-3 years
We identify strengths and stimulate interests through the CAPS curriculum that has been uniquely modified for this age group. We incorporate the Practica home-based stimulation program coupled with PlayLearnGrow concepts. Providing our little learners with a strong foundation and optimal development at this age, whilst preparing them for the preschool environment.
Saplings
Pre-schoolers
Ages: 4-6 years
From pre-school to primary school, these are the bridging years that require a particular set of skills to build a confident and responsible individual.
We apply the CAPS curriculum in conjunction BrainGym concepts to nurture this skill set. A vast choice of extra-mural activities is available to further develop these skills.
Aftercare
Primary Schoolers
Ages: 7-12 years
We nurture and assist primary school learners from 7 – 12 years. Homework assistance is provided by our qualified teachers.
